After reading reviews, we initially reached out to Frisky's Wine Tours. Frisky was unavailable but recommended Winewagen and we are glad he did! Booking was online - the website is fun and very straight forward. All communication in advance was terrific and clear. The VW bus is immaculate, and it's awesome because you are essentially all sitting around one table in the back. We really enjoyed making people in large tour buses feel jealous when they saw our sweet set up. We did not know the area and put ourselves totally in Zach's hands. For a 5 hour tour, he took us to his favorite spots and all were awesome. Zach is also very knowledgeable about the area, wineries, etc. and was really quick to help us haul our wine and other purchases. We have already given his name out to other friends heading up that way.

Two last points - First - Be aware the many large commercial tours have 'deals' with wineries so you may end up at places that are based more on kick backs to drivers then on guest preferences. Second - every dog that we encountered at the wineries clearly loved Zach, and that alone was good enough for us. Thanks Winewagen!
